Do I need an invitation to visit Switzerland? No. You can travel Switzerland with traditional tourist visa but still you receive an invitation, you will be much easier for you to obtain a visa.

Which documents I will have to submit in order to obtain a tourist visa? Here is a full list of documents required for receiving a tourist visa: 1) standard application form which should be filled out and signed (you can get it in the Consular Office or in the Embassy); 2) passport which is valid and passport size photo; 3) health/accident/medical/life insurance; 4) any documents which confirm that hotel accommodation/flat you are going to live in is prepaid; 5) confirmed airline tickets are obligatory as far as open tickets are not accepted; 6) any evidence of sufficient financial resources; 7) letter of confirmation from employer which confirms the dates and the purpose of your future visit to Switzerland. Note that Kyrgyz Embassy in Geneva always has a right to request for some additional documents.

Is there any difference between the requirements I have to meet in order to obtain visitor's visa and tourist visa? You are supposed to collect the same documents as for applying for a tourist visa.

Can I work in Switzerland while I travel around the country? No. Working in Switzerland during holiday trips or any other tours is strictly prohibited.
